Originally built for the United States National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Ushuaia is an ice-strengthened ship with a long history of operations in polar regions. Refurbished in November 2023, the vessel features refreshed public spaces and cabins while preserving her expedition character. Combined with an experienced Antarctic crew and expedition team, the Ushuaia is a reliable choice for travelers who prioritize the core elements of Antarctic exploration and a genuine polar atmosphere over additional onboard comforts.
