Svalbard

The land of the midnight sun and polar bears!

Located in northern Norway, Spitsbergen is the largest island in the Svalbard archipelago.

This is one of the best destinations to observe polar bears, which are strictly protected. You may also see reindeer, whales, walruses, and different types of birds, among other animals. It is one of the most pristine wilderness areas in the world and has an incredibly diverse landscape that includes tundra, spectacular fjords and mountains.

You can enjoy hiking and sailing in zodiac boats, and learn about the rich history and culture of the place, which has a population of about 2,500 inhabitants.

Longyearbyen is the starting point for most adventures in Svalbard.
