Designed to carry travelers in comfort to the most remote corners of the world, Ocean Adventurer (formerly known as the Sea Adventurer) was built in 1976, and underwent extensive upgrades in 2017. This multi-million dollar investment included renovations to the interior of the ship, significant technical upgrades, and the addition of a new cabin category, the Owner’s Suites. The refurbishment gave the ship new bathrooms in every cabin, and upgrades to the Lounge, Dining Room, gym, and suites. Technical enhancements – including two new Rolls Royce engines, generators, gear boxes, drive systems, and re-bladed propellers – resulted in increased fuel efficiency, and a minimized carbon footprint.

- Single Supplement: prices are 1.7 times the cost for Standard Cabins and 2x the cost for Superior and above.
- Request-Share Program: we match solo travelers of the same gender with other solo travelers who indicate they are willing to share. Cabin share is available in the following categories: Triple, Lower Deck Twin, Main Deck Porthole, Main Deck Window.
- Adventure Options: must be pre-booked and paid for prior to start of the trip. Ask for availability on each specific voyage (there are limited spaces). Camping US$295, Kayaking US$995 (for those who want to kayak during entire voyage and have previous experience), Paddling US$295 (for those without experience who want to kayak one time during the voyage).
- Mandatory Emergency Evacuation Insurance: included on all trips (except on charter voyages). Repatriation insurance required.
- Fuel Surcharge: it may be applied for all bookings if there is a substantial increase in fuel costs.

A Triple Cabin has two lower berths and one upper berth, private facilities, and a porthole with exterior views. Please note that porthole covers may be closed during sea days or during inclement weather as a safety precaution.

A Lower Deck Twin cabin has two lower berths, private facilities, and a porthole with exterior views. Please note that porthole covers may be closed during sea days or during inclement weather as a safety precaution.

A Main Deck Twin Porthole cabin has two lower berths, private facilities, and a porthole with exterior views. Please note that porthole covers may be closed during sea days or during inclement weather as a safety precaution.

An Owner’s Suite has a double bed made up of two twin berths, private facilities, windows with exterior views and private sitting room. One features a large panoramic window facing aft, and the other two suites face port and starboard. Cabin 403 has a bathtub and shower; other Owner’s Suites have showers.

Main Lounge
Our theater-style auditorium in the Main Lounge on the Upper Deck can accommodate everyone onboard, so it serves as our main lecture hall where presentations and movies are provided for your education and enjoyment.
Dining Room
There is one dining room located on the Upper Deck. If there is one constant at sea, it is that you’ll enjoy delicious meals on a daily basis. While meal times may change due to landings and wildlife encounters, you’ll always be served three meals a day.
Clipper Club
Enjoy a more private dining experience in the Clipper Club, just off of the main Dining Room. Located on the Upper Deck.
Polar Boutique
If you forgot any essentials or need a little souvenir from your voyage, the Polar Boutique on Deck 5 is our onboard gift shop. Located on the Upper Deck.
Library
On the Captain’s Deck you will find a library of polar books, reference and general reading materials in multiple languages covering subjects like wildlife, history, marine biology, ecology and geology. The library is open 24 hours a day and also includes a selection of games for your entertainment.
Gym
Located on the Main Deck, gym hours are posted at the door, with facilities available on a first come, first served basis.
Bridge
During your voyage you may be given access to the Bridge, where you can observe how the Captain and officers sail and navigate the ship.

2 Rolls Royce Engines
