Fly the Drake

The fastest way to get right into the adventure

Short on time? Don’t want to experience the potentially rough seas of the Drake Passage? Then this adventure may be the one for you.

A short, comfortable flight from Punta Arenas, Chile, to King George Island in Antarctica has you with boots on the ground in no time, overtaken by the sheer magnitude of the 7th Continent.

These voyages are the fastest and most direct way to get right into the adventure: crossing the Drake Passage by ship typically takes 2 days compared to a 2.5 hr flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island.

Some expeditions may combine a flight and a boating leg, connecting the cities of Punta Arenas (Chile) and Ushuaia (Argentina), or make the round trip by plane.

Charter flights are used, to then be transferred to the ship where the staff will be waiting for you. Travellers must verify the entry requirements of the countries visited during their trip, according to their nationality.
